Becoming a Parent Volunteer

Volunteer - Hands.jpg

Parent volunteers have an important role in the learning success of students and make an important contribution to the school. Parents help to make Dewdney a great place to be and we encourage and appreciate any time parents may have to give.

Principals or supervisors who use volunteers, whose participation in a school activity may involve unsupervised access to students, are responsible for ensuring that volunteers complete a Consent for Disclosure of Criminal Record Information for processing by the RCMP.
To support this, we ask that volunteers complete a "School Volunteer Application" and a "Volunteer Driver Form" (if you will be transporting children).  These forms must be completed each year and are available at the school office.  All volunteers must also complete a Criminal Record Check through the online Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP).  A CRC is valid for 5 years.

Please visit the following link to complete your CRC.  An access code is required when proceeding with the online submission.  Once complete, the CRC results will be directly forwarded to our HR Department.

Access Code: Please contact the school office for the access code

If you have any questions regarding volunteering at Dewdney Elementary, please do not hesitate to call the school office.  Thank you for considering volunteering at our school!
