About

Dewdney is one of the oldest schools in Mission, with the original section of the school being built in 1924. We have a long tradition, with third and fourth generation students walking through our halls!

Our CORE (Community Outdoor Recreation & Environment Education) program attracts many families to Dewdney. We belong to Actions School BC and the Fruit & Vegetable Program. We host regular events and fundraisers to support special programs each year.

We have a very dedicated and student-centered staff. They involve themselves in promoting high academic achievement and global citizenship.

We include preschool and primary students to help encourage the love of reading through Books for Bedtime, and the Ready, Set, Learn program.

We are grateful to community groups for their support, including North Fraser Fire Department and Sasquatch Lions Club, who have helped provide funds for equipment and activities.

For more information, please read the Dewdney Elementary 2017/2018 School Growth Plan (PDF).
